Zhenjiu was founded in 1975 and produced in Zunyi, Guizhou, the core producing area of China's Maotai-flavored liquor. In 2009, Guizhou Zhenjiu Distillery was restructured and renamed Guizhou Zhenjiu Distilling Co., LTD.
After the restructuring, the development of Guizhou Zhenjiu entered a fast track: the factory area was expanded from 285 mu to more than 3,500 mu, the annual production capacity was increased from 2,000 tons to 41,000 tons, the number of employees was expanded from more than 200 to more than 8,000 people, and the annual revenue was increased from 10 million yuan to 4.5 billion yuan.
"In recent years, more than 12 billion yuan has been invested to increase production and expand capacity. At present, the annual production capacity of sauce wine has exceeded 41,000 tons, and the inventory of base wine has reached 90,000 tons, ranking the third in Guizhou liquor enterprises." Chen Guohua, vice president of Lidu Group and deputy general manager of Guizhou Zhenjiu, introduced that Zhenjiu has successively opened the construction of five major projects such as Shizhipu Old factory, Zhaojiagou Ecological Brewing Area, Zhenjiu Estate, Qingxigou Brewing Base and Maotai Town Shuanglong Base, and its production capacity has been steadily improved, providing a solid foundation for further expanding volume and enhancing product competitiveness.
Production capacity expansion at the same time to ensure quality improvement. "On the basis of promoting standardization construction and optimizing production factors, the company has continuously improved its internal and external management system to ensure the improvement of liquor quality." Internally, Zhenjiu invests tens of millions of yuan in training costs every year to improve the skill level of employees through various kinds of training, and to develop a multi-level assessment system, so that safety management and site management are linked, not only to ensure the quality of production management, but also to improve the enthusiasm of employees.
Externally, Zhenjiu has established a whole-life quality management system from water source to raw materials, from production to sales and service on the basis of ensuring that all links are produced in strict accordance with standards.
In addition, Zhenjiu attaches great importance to scientific research and innovation, through the establishment of long-term cooperation mechanisms with Jiangnan University, Guizhou University and other universities, constantly introduce and cultivate innovative talents, promote the deepening research of process technology, microorganisms, flavor substances, and taste evaluation, and continue to improve product quality.
On April 27, 2023, with Zhenjiu as the core enterprise and flagship brand, Zhenjiu Lidu Group was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and the development of the enterprise entered a new stage. "In 2023, the Group achieved operating income of 7.03 billion yuan, an increase of 20.10% year-on-year. Among them, the revenue of Guizhou Zhenjiu reached 4.583 billion yuan, an increase of 19.9%." Chen Guohua said that Guizhou Zhenjiu is becoming an important force in the fleet of Guizhou liquor enterprises.
At present, Guizhou continues to develop and expand the fleet of superior and strong liquor enterprises, and further consolidate the advantages of the origin and main producing area of the world's sauce-flavored liquor. According to the construction plan of Guizhou's "six major industrial bases", by 2027, it is necessary to form 300 billion yuan of sauce-flavored liquor industry cluster.
